actually i've just had a revelation. I didn't start liking underground comics with jhonen. I started with CRUMB. I remember checking out every R.Crumb book in the library and then being afraid at the checker because she might realize that they were actually dirty books. With jacking off, and nakee women.Hah. I was about 11 or 12. And Then when I was 12 or 13 I had to do a report so I got a lot of books and tried to do the history of comics, so I checked out all the history of comics books, and I saw crumb in them. Along with a bunch of other artists that I really liked, and that was the first time I saw Art Spiegelman and Peter Kuper and etc etc and those were my humble beginnings, folks.....wheee!

Also for you comix peoples, read David Boring by Daneil Clowes. Hooray! What a wonderful book it is. And it makes me happy about my ass.
